Sandra Bullock is looking to sell her 91-acre avocado and citrus farm in California for $6 million.

The estate is made up of three lots in Valley Center, California, about 40 miles northeast of San Diego. It includes a nearly 6,000-square-foot main home and about 1,200 high-quality organic avocado trees that are reaching maturity, in addition to other residences and gardens, according to this week’s listing with Alan Long of Avenue 8, Melissa Russell of Willis Allen Real Estate and Kay O’Hara of HomeSmart Realty West.

“Calmness and serenity, combined with the amazing views of the mountain ranges, are the first things you feel as you step out of your car,” Mr. Long said in an email. “Then [you] walk into the courtyard and see the thick adobe walls, the fountain and the smell of jasmine and wisteria that greets you as you approach the front door.”

Ms. Bullock—the 58-year-old Academy Award-winning actor whose most recent film, “The Lost City,” was released in March—began accumulating the land in 2007 through a trust tied to her lawyer, according to records with PropertyShark. Mansion Global could not determine how much she paid in total for the three properties.

Avocado and citrus groves were already growing on the land when the actor acquired it, but she “converted them to organic and completely transformed the ambiance of the property,” Mr. Long said.

That included adding a saltwater swimming pool and spa with mountain vistas, importing ancient olive trees, expanding the existing family orchard and gardens, and creating walking paths and trails leading down to a pond for water conservation and irrigation, according to the agent.

“The theme was not motivated by profit but to create a secluded retreat for family and friends to gather and play away from the bustle of urban life,” Mr. Long said. “To spend some private time, commune with nature for a while, pick a lemon or lime from the family orchard…and relax.”

In addition, the main residence was “transformed to the open and inviting hacienda it is now,” he said. It offers an indoor-outdoor lifestyle with a planted central courtyard—complete with a fountain—and several sets of French doors, according to the listing. It also boasts a total of nine fireplaces, with three outside among the flower gardens and eucalyptus, palm and olive trees.

There’s also an eat-in kitchen with wide-plank wood flooring and a La Cornue oven and range, plus a dining area with a cushioned window seat and a beamed ceiling.

There are four bedroom suites, each with a private entry and outdoor space, the listing said. The primary bedroom offers a fireplace and as well as French doors “with views of the multi-hued mountain range” in the distance, Mr. Long added.

Other amenities include an additional three-bedroom, a two-bathroom residence, solar panels, an electric charging station, a chicken coop and plenty of additional building space to create a multigenerational compound or expand the farm.

Ms. Bullock announced she would “take a pause” from acting on a March episode of “CBS News Sunday Morning.”  She is looking for a farm closer to her sister on the East Coast, according to Mr. Long.

Representatives for the actress did not immediately return a request for comment.
