The Monadnock Humane Society (MHS) has appointed Jacques Du Preez as the newly created Director of Development and Marketing. He brings more than 20 years of business development and marketing experience and has been working in the non-profit sector since 2016. Du Preez is engaged in development and marketing communications, including partners with individuals, companies, foundations, government agencies, and non-profit organizations.

Du Preez came to MHS from Habitat for Humanity in Essex County, Massachusetts, where he served as director of marketing and communications. He also serves as a marketing, fundraising and development consultant for the Arizona Highland Humane Society. Prior to this, he was the marketing and donor database manager for the Santa Maria Valley Humane Society in California, and the digital marketing manager and donor relationship manager for the Second Chance Animal Center in Arizona. In addition, he founded ROOISPRESSO, an organic Rooibos tea company, and launched multiple brands of products domestically and internationally.

Executive Director Kathy Collinsworth said: “MHS currently needs people with Jacques experience and talents. Our new strategic plan (which will be made available to the public soon) includes a core focus, which is to support the new programs and services we will bring to the community. The marketing communication and development work required. Jacques also has a strong technical background, which will play an important role in the success of the program and the future of the organization. We feel very happy or more excited to have him join our team!" 

Du Preez will be responsible for all marketing, communication, community relations, fundraising and development of the organization, and said: "I believe that through education and community participation, we can work together to help future generations understand the importance of making our world a better place. For the humans and animals we have been given protection."

Du Preez studied marketing and business management at Damelin College in Cape Town, South Africa, and was certified in creative conference and event management. He lives in Orange, Massachusetts with his wife, daughter, two dogs, three cats, eight chickens and a gecko.
