Pet Wants, a fresh and natural pet store, is now open on the south side of Sioux Falls.

The former pop-up store has now moved to 85th Street and Minnesota Avenue, offering a store with two dog wash areas and a full range of natural pet food.

Pet Wants is a franchise store located in Minneapolis. The Sioux Falls store provides a large number of natural, organic and even herbal and essential oil products for dogs and cats. It is also available locally.

"All our products are free of corn, preservatives, dyes-all of these things that make dogs sensitive," said franchisee Melissa Brandner-Otten. "We are ready."

The store is located at 7740 S. Dakota Hawk Ave., near Walmart and Aldi, in a "crazy growth" area in Sioux Falls, and is the main area of the city's first all-natural pet food store, Brandner-Otten said.

After opening one year postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the store is ready to accept pets and their owners in the door, with two full-time and two part-time employees.

This shop sells a variety of well-known brands, essential oils, CBD and local products such as Broken Bone snacks and other products. It even comes with unique items such as pig noses, 95% rabbit snacks, and more. It does not carry raw hides that are known to be dangerous to dogs, but a raw hide-like snack made from all-natural ingredients.

Then there is dog lotion, which contains shampoo, lotion in a stainless steel sink, dryer, etc. Brandner-Otten said that all the ingredients contained in the lotion are natural, and the lotion price is around $15.

Pet Wants hopes that customers in the neighborhood, Tea and surrounding areas will frequent it. The pet owner may stop to wash the dog or pick up a bag of favorite snacks.

"I am most excited about establishing new relationships with customers, not with them and their pets," said store manager Madison Rietz.

Pet Wants is open 7 days a week, including Monday to Thursday, 11 am to 7 pm, Friday and Saturday to 8 pm and Sunday from noon to 5 pm
