Not an ordinary teahouse-The Martha's Vineyard Times

Tansy Tea & Coffee provides healthy, delicious and a little fancy service.

Tansy Tea & Coffee is the new luncheon at Tisbury Market Place. It takes a different approach to your daily drinks and light meals.

Colorful teas and delicious snacks combine healthy and unique ingredients. You may not find these at your favorite breakfast or lunch places. Tansy does this with creativity and care.

First of all, their tea is bright and colorful, and some beneficial spices are added to freshly brewed Earl Grey, chamomile, chai tea, etc.

As I walked up the stairs at the far end of the market and entered the interior, I knew that this cute and cozy store would become a regular part of my itinerary before going to work every morning.

There are not many seats inside, but the atmosphere is relaxed and refined. There are picnic tables outside and you can enjoy the view of the lagoon pond-this is a good place to clear your mind and start your day.

One morning, when I stopped to enjoy a little morning happiness (and solve my caffeine problem), Tansy Latte ($6) rushed to me immediately. I like turmeric. When I was a child, my mother asked me to drink the rich and naturally sweet South African Rooibos tea.

Homemade latte contains plenty (but not too much) of turmeric, ginger and cardamom, and is brewed with vanilla beans.

This drink keeps me refreshed all day-it is light and refreshing, but it is also very strong.

Apart from Rooibos, chamomile may be my favorite tea at any time of the day. Of course, Tansy has traditional chamomile, but their specialty drinks are slightly different:

The Coconut Chamomile Latte ($6) is brewed with rich coconut cream, cinnamon, ginger, vanilla and cardamom.

As the sister restaurant of Juice by the Sea, the most popular Island health food station, it is safe to say that Tansy's smoothies are rich in vegetables, fresh fruits and other healthy ingredients.

After only looking at the menu for a few seconds, I chose PB and Raz Smoothie ($12.50), which were perfect straight out of the blender. Organic peanut butter, bananas, raspberries, cinnamon, dates and colorful raspberry sauce swirl in the cup. This is a satisfying smoothie.

Tansy also has a variety of coffees to choose from. All their coffee beans come from Wellfleet's Beanstock Coffee Roasters and provide many "adaptogens" such as Ashwagandha, turmeric, lion mane and plant collagen, which are considered to be good for health.

Last but not least, this place has some delicious snacks that you hardly want to eat because they are so beautiful.

After opening the box containing my special tansy toast ($14) and vegan cream cheese, juicy yellow tomatoes, greenish vegetables, olive oil, hemp seeds and pepper, I knew that I would not take a social photo shoot. A color photo while encountering problems with the media, enjoy a nutritious breakfast.

Before I went out, when my eyes fell on a fragile mini coffee cake ($4), my sweets drew me back again-the cashier told me it was flavored with pumpkin spice, in my heart Thought, "It's this season now."

Tansy Tea & Coffee is open from Monday to Saturday, from 8 am to 3 pm daily. Check the Tansy Instagram page Tansy_MV for updates and pictures, or send an email to tansymv@gmail.com for more information.
