Tea is a popular beverage in many countries. Black tea and oolong tea are popular in China, while high-quality green teas such as matcha and yulu are popular in Japan. The British like to drink Earl Grey black tea, the Indians like Indian tea, and the South Americans like to drink strong drinks like yerba mate.

For people on earth who love tea, tea is more than just a drink. This is an opportunity to reconnect with the centuries-old heritage, while also discovering delicious flavors. Tea provides true believers with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to taste the taste and aroma. This is why people are willing to pay high prices for the best quality tea.

Discover the most expensive tea in the world and the reasons behind its high price.

Dahongpao tea is one of the most expensive black teas in the world, and its roots can be traced back to the Ming Dynasty. This Chinese tea, also known as Dahongpao tea, represents the quality of the Wuyi Mountain where it grows. Its wine is well-structured, with earthy and mineral notes, it produces a rich deep red color and finishes with a vibrant aftertaste.

Because the leaves are collected from trees that have grown in the mountains for more than 300 years, this rare tea is very expensive. In 2005, most of these old plants produced authentic Dahongpao for the last time. As a result, some dried leaves of these old plants are too expensive.

The value of this tea is more than 30 times that of gold, and one gram of tea is worth US$1,400.

Every family likes to drink tea, and everyone likes to drink tea. There are many teas, including green tea and...

Many companies offer cheaper Dahongpao made from newer tea trees grown in neighboring areas, providing a more economical choice for tasting the flavor and terroir of Wuyi tea.

Panda Dung tea is the tea version of kopi luwak, which is an Indonesian coffee made from civet feces. Panda feces are used to nourish these special tea leaves. Since giant pandas can only absorb about 30% of the nutrients in their diet, it is said that Pu'er tea has a variety of health benefits. According to the manufacturer, the remaining 70% of the nutrients, including amino acids and polyphenols, are thought to end up in the panda's excrement and become a very nutritious tea plant fertilizer.

A wildlife expert in China’s Sichuan province produces a limited amount of tea. Panda dung tea has a malt aroma and nutty flavor. Tea lovers who like the rich aroma and complex flavors will like Pu-erh tea.

PG Tips is a British tea brand, known for its delicious teas. In 2005, the tea company launched a Darjeeling tea set with diamond tea bags to celebrate its 75th anniversary.

For simple brewing, this bag has 280 2.56 carats of diamonds and a delicate white gold chain.

This bag was designed by the well-known jewelry brand Boodles to raise funds for the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. This tea bag uses Silver Tips imperial tea from Makaibari Tea Estate in India.

Oolong tea narcissus produced in Wuyi Mountain. It has golden tea buds and distinctive multi-layer flavors. Narcissus is a Greek hunter who sees beauty in everything, so he named it after tea. Oolong tea has been severely oxidized (about 60%), giving it a chocolate, woody, floral and nutty flavor. One of the most expensive narcissus Wuyi teas is sold in a 50-year-old box that has become the object of collectors around the world.

Teguanyin is oolong tea. This is a true semi-oxidized tea with a variety of flavors, depending on where and how it is grown.

The Buddhist goddess Tieguanyin was the inspiration for this expensive oolong tea. This tea was created in the Fujian region of China in the early 19th century.

The most expensive tea in the UK is Tieguanyin. The tea can be steeped many times without bitterness, which helps to make it easier to bear the high price tag.
